Solutions for Ankle Fractures

A broken ankle can extend anywhere from the foot to the knee. It causes significant swelling that is either localized at the ankle or anywhere along the length of the leg. Ankle fractures are fairly common injuries that are often caused by the ankle rotating inward or outward—and are often mistaken for ankle sprains.

Treatment
If the fracture is treated within 24 hours of injury, apply the Infratonic 8000 transducer gently to the affected area several times a day for a minimum of 20 minutes each. Therapy can also be applied through clothing or a plaster cast—even several inches away. Sometimes, it's most comfortable to start with the transducer 12 or more inches away, than gradually move it closer as the trauma is reduced. This helps keep the swelling down, so the body can produce and retain Hyaluronic acid in the traumatized area.

In addition to suffering from Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis for 38 years, I broke my right ankle in 1989. About five years later, my disease had destroyed the cartilage in my ankle and I was having a great deal of pain trying to walk.

About 1998, I started using the drug Enbrel, which costs about $1,000 a month before insurance. This drug was a great improvement for me—enabling me to almost walk as much as I wanted. After six months, however, I had to stop the Enbrel due to complications and my ankle started hurting again.

A friend told me about the Infratonic machine and I decided to try it since it had a 30-day guarantee. After a few months I was about as good as when I was on Enbrel.
