Solutions for Bone Fractures, Splits or Breaks

A bone fracture (split or break) occurs when more pressure is put on a bone than it can stand. If the broken bone punctures the skin, it's called an open—or compound—fracture. A stress fracture is a hairline crack in the bone that develops because of repeated or prolonged force against the bone. Common symptoms of a broken bone include a visibly out-of-place or misshapen limb or joint, swelling, bruising, bleeding, intense pain, numbness and tingling, limited mobility of a limb.

Treatment
If the fracture is treated within 24 hours of injury, apply the Infratonic 8000 transducer gently to the affected area several times a day for a minimum of 20 minutes each. Therapy can also be applied through clothing or a plaster cast—even several inches away. Sometimes, it's most comfortable to start with the transducer 12 or more inches away, than gradually move it closer as the trauma is reduced. This helps keep the swelling down, so the body can produce and retain Hyaluronic acid in the traumatized area.

"
A 40-year-obese patient with multiple bone fractures and a compound fracture of the right humorus, had a cast and sling and was later splinted. After the three weeks of no healing, her doctor wanted to operate and use pins. The patient, however, was frantic and full of anxiety—and did not want the operation. We used the Infratonic on the fracture for 10 minutes several times a day—both in and out of the office. Two weeks later, the x-ray showed the fracture healing, and the patient's pain had decreased. She was able to move her neck and shoulder better, and had an improved mood since she had hope of recovery. Not only were her spirits lifted, her sleeping was improved and her stress level went down.
