When dealing with chronic pain, you must understand the underlying cause for pain. The principal cause of pain is inflammation. When our body’s cells become traumatized by injury, surgery, chemical attack, or even strong emotions, they often go into shock, or cellular trauma, and start producing inflammatory chemicals in a desperate call for help. Unfortunately, these chemicals not only cause pain, but also interfere with the healing process.
The unpredictable sound waves of the Infratonic effectively dissolve cellular trauma, helping to stop excess inflammation and promotes pain relief more quickly. As the cells stop producing inflammatory chemicals, they begin generating healing chemicals that pave the way toward accelerated recovery. The Infratonic provides fast, long lasting and natural pain relief from most acute issues and those caused by dealing with chronic pain. With no side effects, the Infratonic can be used with all other pain relief technologies.
Acute Traumatic Injury
Traumatic accidents or falls can cause intense cellular trauma along with internal bleeding/bruising, swelling, and muscle spasm. While the Infratonic can be very valuable when applied as soon as possible after an acute traumatic injury, it is often valuable to add ice as described below.
For the first few hours or days after an acute injury, and in cases of chronic spasm associated with whiplash and low back pull, apply the Infratonic transducer through a gel ice pack for ten minutes, then remove for 20 minutes, then repeat. The coldness slows production of inflammatory chemicals that cause excess spasm, swelling, and bleeding, while the Infratonic works on reducing cellular trauma. You can also alternate cold with heat and apply the Infratonic through the hot pads as well.
In acute injury, application of Infratonic therapy will sometimes cause increased pain as tissue normalization also means normalization of nerve function. In cases of tissue damage, when you feel increased pain on application of Infratonic Therapy, it is because you are bringing the nervous system on-line fast. While this increased pain may be the most effective for accelerated healing, it is definitely not the most comfortable. The best strategy is to go slow where Infratonic therapy increases pain because, while this pain increase is often thought provoking, excess pain does upset patients.
