November is American Diabetes Month!
If you read our blog post on Tuesday, Disease and Death by Sugar, you saw the grim statistics from the Centers from Disease Control regarding the alarming rise in diabetes and diabetes related issues, including increasing diabetes related deaths. To put it in perspective, every 17 seconds someone in the United States is diagnosed with diabetes.
To avoid becoming one of those statistics, you can begin to improve your health by taking simple steps like reducing your sugar and processed food intake, switching from processed grains to whole grains, and increasing your fresh (preferably organic) vegetable intake.
If you have already developed diabetes, and have health issues (poor circulation is a common problem) as a result, you might find some relief with Infratonic therapy.
A study was done in 2002 using Infratonic therapy with patients who suffered from diabetic neuropathy. Diabetic neuropathy (the disease or dysfunction of one or more peripheral nerves) is a long-term degenerative disease whose symptoms normally continue to worsen. The debilitating pain of neuropathy can destroy one’s quality of life. The prognosis is generally progression of the disease, ongoing pain, amputation of digits or limbs, and increased disability.
As you can see by the graph below, the results reported for improvement in the areas of pain, disability, discoloration, ulceration, neuropathy and vascular disease, were quite impressive at the six month mark.
To slow that downward spiral is a remarkable accomplishment; but to see an improvement, even a slow and steady one, provides tremendous hope for the many who suffer daily.
